Dikir Barat

Assalamualaikum semua.

I will update about my precious moment with my classmates in a bit.

Okay, ni nak cerita pasal preparation of Arabic Night lah. Untuk Arabic Night, group kitorang kena perform Dikir Barat in arab languange. Soo, I take an action which is calling my Kelantanese friend, Zamri to teach us to dikir barat. Then, Zamri knows someone better in dikir barat named Tengku Zaid from Kedah.

Okay, first meeting untuk group kitorang adalah untuk decide siapa nak main alat muzik and siapa nak jadi awok-awok for the team. Tahu tak awok-awok tu apa? Awok-awok tu orang yang buat macam-macam gaya lepas tukang karut menyanyi. Kira diorang ni frontman lah. Takde diorang tak hidup dikir barat. Important asset gitu.

For the music instrument :

Amil - Gendang ibu

Nas - Gendang anak

Aina - Canang

Abbas - Marakas

Aimi - Loceng

And for the awok-awok, the rest of my classmates. Nak mention sorang-sorang too many. Group kitorang terpaksa cari alat muzik sendiri. Sampai Khai terpaksa pinjam dari sekolah dia di Selangor. Tapi takpe lah, tu semua test untuk berjaya kan. Oh, lupa nak mention tukang karut kitorang. Shima and Farah lah boh. Siapa lagi.

Kitorang practice just 1 weeks macam tu lah. Dengan takde basic main instrument lagi, Zaid just ajar basic. Diorang ni memang cepat pick up. Sekali ajar terus dapat. Kitorang memang semangat habis lah kan. Sebab ni first time. So kitorang practice, practice, practice, and and and practice lagi. Siang bawak ke malam practice. Sebab orang bukan Melayu pernah berkata "Practice makes perfect". Ni bukti kitorang practice.

Nak dipendekkan cerita, tibalah malam pertandingan, Arabic Night. Group kitorang punya turn number 12. Total 14 groups, kira dah last-last lah kitorang perform. And nak tahu tak result dia?

Alhamdulillah for the result. Even tak dapat first place, kitorang tetap bersyukur. 

Sebab others group just dapat saguhati je.

And the most important things I want to mention here is our friendship that getting stronger. Memang dikir barat ni banyak mengubah individu dalam kelas BM1124E. Yang sebelum ni pendiam dah start cakap, yang tak pernah tegur orang dah boleh bertegur, yang sebelum ni passive dah jadi active. And time practice tu lah aku nampak kerjasama between my classmates. And i'm so happy for this improvement among us. Kalau lah dari part 1 dulu macam ni kan best.

To all my classmates, you are the best mates ever for me. You show me something that I can remember and makes me respect every single of you because of this. I love you guys. Let's have some fun later. And to our trainer Tengku Zaid, we owe you a lot. Thank you so much. You are the best!
